Akpabio Claims Opposition Will Be Confused Until 2027

Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, declared that opposition parties in Nigeria will remain in confusion until after the 2027 general elections. He made this statement during a rally in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, where he spoke alongside the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, at an event marking World Women’s Day.

Akpabio asserted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has already initiated its campaign efforts against a disorganized opposition. He criticized the opposition for their inability to form a cohesive political party and highlighted the internal struggles within the People's Democratic Party (PDP).

Akpabio also noted the APC's commitment to advancing women's representation in politics, referencing a bill aimed at increasing women's presence in the National Assembly. The event saw significant attendance, reflecting support for President Bola Tinubu's second term, with Akpabio affirming that the people of Akwa Ibom are ready to endorse Tinubu for another term.
