Akpabio Reveals Possibility of Opposition Senators Joining APC Amid Growing Dominance

Senator Godswill Akpabio disclosed that some opposition senators may defect to the ruling APC, citing a growing dominance of the party at the federal level. He commended the APC's leadership and acknowledged the roles of Abdullahi Ganduje and Hope Uzodimma.

Akpabio emphasized the importance of maintaining a balance in the Senate to prevent the opposition from becoming completely empty. Notably, he mentioned Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah allowing Senator Osita Ngwu to continue as a minor chief whip to preserve some opposition presence.

Akpabio also expressed concerns about rising violence and insecurity across the country.
