Akpabio Seeks Supreme Court Validation of Natasha Akpoti's Senate Suspension

Godswill Akpabio has approached the Supreme Court seeking validation of the suspension of Natasha Akpoti and Uduaghan from the Senate. The suspension stemmed from allegations of breach of privilege and procedural issues raised during a plenary session in February 2025.

Akpabio argues that the Senate acted within its powers, while Akpoti and Uduaghan claim the suspension was unlawful and lacked a fair hearing. The case involves contempt issues related to social media posts, with pending suits in the Federal High Court Abuja.
