Oshiomhole Claims Akpabio Sees Him as a Threat in Senate

Adam Oshiomhole, the Senator representing Edo North, remarked in a podcast interview that Godswill Akpabio, the current Senate President, perceives him as a devil and would have excluded him from the Senate if possible. Oshiomhole warned that the 11th Senate will differ significantly from the 10th Senate, indicating a shift in dynamics.

He described Akpabio's leadership style as paranoid and noted that many senators are quietly dissatisfied with it. The rift between Oshiomhole and Akpabio escalated during a volatile session in the Senate when amendments to Senate rules were made ahead of the 2027 political cycle.
