Akpabio's Sister-in-Law Launches Fresh Attacks on Senate President, Threatens Damaging Information

Pat Akpabio, the sister-in-law of former Akwa Ibom State Governor Akpabio, has accused Senate President Akpabio of various misdeeds, including allegedly linking him to unresolved killings. She claimed Akpabio accused her husband, Ibanga, of killing close political associates, leading to Akpabio's loss in the 2019 senatorial election.

Pat vowed to challenge Akpabio in the 2027 senatorial election and threatened to release damaging information. Akpabio's spokesperson, Esem Eyiboh, denied the allegations and accused Pat of filing a report with security agencies.

Northern ethnic youth groups have reacted to the feud, supporting the Senate President.
