AKTH School of Paramedic Technology Gains Accreditation

The Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH) School of Paramedic Technology has received accreditation from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), as announced by the Chief Medical Director, Professor Abdurrahman Abba Sheshe. This school is part of several accredited institutions under AKTH, which also includes the College of Nursing Sciences and the School of Health Information Management.

The paramedic school aims to bridge critical gaps in healthcare delivery by training personnel to manage complex emergency and trauma cases. The curriculum includes advanced airway management, rapid cardiac care, emergency medication administration, and continuous vital diagnostic monitoring.

Students will undergo a two-year program for a National Diploma (ND) or a five-year program for a Higher National Diploma (HND). Graduates will be equipped with essential skills for managing emergencies, thereby enhancing the quality of medical care provided in Nigeria.
