Akwa Ibom Commissioner Advocates Digital Economy Growth

On September 15, 2023, Dr Anieti N. Udofia, the Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, called for the transformation of the state's cultural heritage into a sustainable economic resource during the Usoro Akwa Ibom Digital Economy Masterclass in Uyo.

He emphasized that cultural elements such as textiles, cuisine, and music could be marketed globally using digital technology. Udofia stated that young entrepreneurs could utilize smartphones to reach customers worldwide, turning traditional cultural products into digital content that generates income.
