Akwa Ibom Governor Boosts Allowances and Health Insurance for Traditional Rulers

Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has announced an increase in allowances and health insurance coverage for traditional rulers, effective from October 1, 2025. The welfare package includes personal assistant services and healthcare stipends for the royal fathers and their spouses.

The Governor emphasized the importance of peace and unity in attracting development and investments to the state, urging traditional rulers to maintain harmonious relations with local government chairmen. The move aims to enhance the well-being of traditional rulers and strengthen their role in promoting grassroots development and governance in Akwa Ibom State.
