Akwa Ibom Government Denies Withdrawal of Udom's Security

The Akwa Ibom State Government has refuted claims of Governor Umo Eno ordering the withdrawal of security details from his predecessor, Udom Emmanuel. The government denounced the reports as false, mischievous, and politically motivated, aimed at sowing discord and distrust.

Commissioner of Information, Mr. Aniekan Umanah, clarified that there was no directive to remove security personnel from the former governor's residences.

The rumors sparked speculation and accusations within the state, with some interpreting the situation as a rift between the current and former governors. The government dismissed these insinuations as baseless and an attempt to distract from governance issues, emphasizing the commitment to maintaining security and stability in Akwa Ibom State.
