Police Corporal and Conductor Sentenced to Death for Kidnapping
On July 5, 2015, a police corporal, Mbazigw Chinedu Fridai, and bus conductor, Isaac Eddi Ndeesor, were involved in the kidnapping of a victim along Urua Akpan Udosen Ikot Unah Road, Ukanafun, Akwa Ibom State. They, along with four armed men, forcibly abducted the victim while he was returning from church with his wife and family member, demanding a ransom of N50 million.
