Alert MfB Partners with Aqua to Boost Nigeria's WASH Sector

Alert Microfinance Bank (MfB) and an international organization, Aqua, have partnered to enhance Nigeria's Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) sector. The partnership involves directing 20% of MfB's Gross Loan Portfolio towards the sector, leading to the creation of a specialized financial product called WASH Plus Loan.

This loan aims to provide swift funding for entrepreneurs in the WASH sector, with a quick turnaround time of 48 hours. The collaboration also offers training and technical support to scale services and improve community health.

Raji Saheed, the Managing Director of Alert MfB, emphasized the impact of empowering entrepreneurs in the WASH sector through financial tools. Kazeem Olanrewaju, the Group CEO, highlighted the transformative power of finance in driving social change.
