Pepsico, DP World, WaterAid Expand Wash Programmes in Nigeria

PepsiCo and DP World have announced an expansion of their partnership with WaterAid in Nigeria to drive inclusive and sustainable value in the communities they serve. The WASH program aims to improve living conditions in underserved communities in Lagos.

The Coordinating Minister of Economy and Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, highlighted the significance of the partnership in strengthening supply chains and supporting local industries. The Commissioner of Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade, and Investment, Folashade Adefisayo, emphasized the importance of collaboration to achieve global expertise while aligning with local opportunities.

The CEO and MD of Africa Region at DP World, Mohammed Akoojee, expressed Nigeria's importance as a key market and the collaborative efforts to invest in water systems and empower local women. The partnership aims to create lasting impacts beyond the marketplace by improving access to essential resources like safe water.

Hatim Khan, Senior Director of PepsiCo Foundation International Programs, emphasized the goal of helping people thrive through this initiative.
