Ali Baba Evicted from Victoria Island Property Amid Legal Dispute

Veteran Nigerian comedian Ali Baba has been evicted from his Victoria Island property in Lagos alongside his company XQZMOI TV. The property was sold by the federal government for N220 million to recover a debt allegedly owed to the Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON).

However, a court ruling on July 31, 2025, dismissed AMCON's case, ordering the property to be returned to the original owner and imposing a N500 million fine for damages. The eviction stemmed from a liability case related to the timing of Ali Baba's purchase of the property, despite an existing preservation order.
