Former NNPC GCEO Mele Kyari Faces EFCC Over Alleged Fraud Probe

Former NNPC GCEO Mele Kyari appeared before the EFCC on September 10 in Abuja over alleged fraud involving misappropriation of funds. The EFCC invited Kyari as part of an ongoing probe into the abuse of office.

The investigation demanded certified records of salaries and allowances of 14 past and present NNPC officials, including Kyari and other former top officials. The allegations also involve former Managing Directors and executives of NNPC subsidiaries.

Kyari arrived at the EFCC headquarters following the invitation. The probe aims to uncover any financial misconduct during their tenures.
