Northern Group Rejects FEC Road Contracts, Alleges Marginalization

The Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) has rejected the Federal Executive Council's (FEC) road contract approvals, accusing the government of marginalizing Northern Nigeria in the allocation of road project funds. The group highlighted disparities in fund distribution, particularly favoring Southern Nigeria over the North.

Specific regions like Kano, Maiduguri, and others were allegedly neglected in the approved contracts, leading to concerns of economic sabotage and underdevelopment in the North.
