Ex-AGF Malami, Son, Wife Granted N1.5bn Bail in N9bn Fraud Case

The former Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, along with his son Abdulaziz Malami and wife, were granted bail of N1.5bn by a Federal High Court in Abuja in a N9bn fraud case. The trio was arraigned by the EFCC on 16 counts of financial crimes related to money laundering.

Despite opposition from the EFCC, the court granted bail with stringent conditions including producing sureties and surrendering passports. The trial has been adjourned until February 17.
