Nigerian Govt Ensures Steady Fuel Supply Amid Dangote Dispute

Amid a face-off between Dangote Refinery management and PENGASSAN resulting in the sack of 800 workers, the Nigerian government assures the public of a steady fuel supply. The Federal Ministry of Finance, through a statement, confirmed the resolution of issues related to the purported suspension of oil arrangements at Dangote Refinery.

The Steering Committee on Domestic Crude Oil and Refined Products Sales met to review developments in the downstream oil sector. The meeting, chaired by Minister of Finance Wale Edun, included key stakeholders from various government bodies and industry representatives.

The assurance of continuous petroleum product supply aims to alleviate concerns arising from the recent workforce reduction at the refinery and maintain stability in the fuel supply chain.
