Police Fire Gunshots in Anambra After Soludo Declared Governor

Following INEC's declaration of Charles Soludo as the winner of the Anambra State 2025 governorship election, a video surfaced showing police officers firing gunshots in celebration. Soludo secured a landslide victory with 422,664 votes, defeating Nicholas Ukachukwu of the Progress Congress.

The incident occurred in Isuofia, Aguata Local Government Area, with no official statement from the police command. The election results also saw other candidates like Paul Chukwuma, John Nwosu, George Moghalu, and Jude Ezenwafor trailing behind Soludo.

Professor Omoregi Edoba, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Benin, declared Soludo the winner.
