On April 22, 2026, the Anambra State Government, led by Governor Chukwuma Soludo, announced a strategic partnership with Flutterwave, a prominent payment technology company. This collaboration is designed to expand Anambra's digital economy framework, focusing on scaling e-commerce activities and strengthening digital payment systems.

The initiative aims to broaden market access for businesses across the state, particularly benefiting traders, artisans, and small business owners. The partnership is expected to connect local enterprises to wider national and global markets, enabling seamless transactions and improving digital participation for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) operating in commercial hubs such as Onitsha, Nnewi, and Awka.
