Anambra State and Flutterwave Partner for Digital Growth

The Anambra State Government has entered into a partnership with Flutterwave, a prominent payment technology company, to expand its digital economy framework. Announced by Governor Chukwuma Soludo on April 22, 2026, this collaboration is designed to enhance e-commerce activities and strengthen digital payment systems across the state.

The initiative aims to unlock new opportunities for traders, artisans, and small business owners by connecting local enterprises to broader national and global markets, thereby enabling seamless transactions and improving digital participation among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in commercial hubs such as Onitsha, Nnewi, and Awka. Flutterwave, led by co-founder and CEO Gbenga Agboola, is recognized for its innovative fintech solutions that address real African challenges, particularly in cross-border payments.

The partnership reflects the Anambra State Government's commitment to providing the necessary infrastructure for young entrepreneurs and encouraging investment in a technology-driven economy.
