Anambra State Partners with Flutterwave for Digital Growth

The Anambra State Government, led by Governor Chukwuma Soludo, has entered into a partnership with Flutterwave, a prominent payment technology company, to bolster the state's digital economy. Announced on April 22, 2026, this collaboration is strategically designed to enhance Anambra's e-commerce ecosystem by broadening market access for businesses and facilitating seamless transactions.

The initiative aims to connect local enterprises to both national and global markets, thereby improving digital participation for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across commercial hubs such as Onitsha, Nnewi, and Awka. Flutterwave, co-founded and led by CEO Gbenga Agboola, is recognized for its innovative fintech solutions that address real African challenges, particularly in cross-border payments.

The partnership is expected to digitize payment systems for small businesses, integrate logistics, and onboard traders onto online marketplaces, ultimately enhancing market reach and operational efficiency.
