Ananse Design Centre to Empower 5,000 Young Creatives, Create 50,000 Jobs in Lagos Fashion Sector

Ananse Design Centre in Lagos, in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation and Nigeria's Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, and Tourism, has launched an initiative to empower 5,000 young creatives in the fashion design sector. The goal is to create 50,000 jobs by equipping them with skills, tools, and market access to build sustainable careers.

The facility will offer training, innovation hubs, mentorship, and virtual interactive sessions to support emerging fashion entrepreneurs, especially women. Founder Samuel Mensah highlighted the focus on business skills, e-commerce, market product development, and physical and virtual spaces for creative work.
