Ananse Center Launches to Boost Nigeria's Creative Economy

Ananse Center, launched in Lagos, Nigeria, is set to empower the country's $15 billion creative economy by providing training and support to young designers. Founded by Samuel Mensah, the center focuses on equipping thousands of aspiring entrepreneurs with the skills needed to succeed in the creative industry.

The initiative, backed by the Mastercard Foundation and the Ministry of Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy, aims to formalize entrepreneurship in the sector and create a pathway for SMEs to access finance and export opportunities. Hannatu Musa Musawa, the Minister of Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy, emphasizes the importance of investing in the creative sector to drive job creation and innovation in Nigeria.
