Nigerian Actress Angela Okorie Arrested on Cyber-Stalking Charges Amid Feud with Merci Johnson

Angela Okorie, a Nigerian actress, is facing cyber-stalking charges following her arrest in Lagos. The arrest, confirmed by the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department, led to her being taken into custody by the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Center in Abuja.

Okorie was subsequently charged and remanded in Suleja Prison until January 30. The charges stem from a feud with actress Merci Johnson, involving allegations of defamation and cyber-stalking made against Okorie.

The feud escalated after Okorie's controversial claims about Johnson's health, leading to legal actions and social media disputes. Filmmaker Ajemba Stanlei criticized Okorie's arrest process, alleging abuse of power and lack of legal access.

The arrest may be linked to a long-standing online dispute between the two actresses, with legal actions initiated since July 2025.
