Zahara Jolie Files to Drop 'Pitt' from Her Last Name

Zahara Jolie, the daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, has officially filed paperwork in the Los Angeles Superior Court to change her last name from 'Pitt' to 'Jolie', requesting her full name to be Zahara Marlei Jolie. This legal request follows her brother Maddox, who recently filed to drop their father's surname.

Zahara, 20, has publicly introduced herself without using 'Pitt' during her induction into the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority at Spelman College in Atlanta. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

The court hearing for Zahara's name change is scheduled for September 28, where a judge will rule on her petition. Other siblings, including Shiloh, have also pursued similar name changes, while Vivienne has distanced herself from their father's surname in her professional life.

The ongoing legal disputes stem from the high-profile divorce of Jolie and Pitt, which began in September 2016 and continues to involve custody and financial matters.
