Angelina Jolie Relocates to Cambodia for Humanitarian Work

Angelina Jolie has moved to Cambodia to continue her humanitarian efforts with the Maddox Foundation, fulfilling a promise made to her son Maddox Chivan Jolie. The Oscar-winning actress announced her relocation on social media on July 22, 2026, after her twins, Knox and Vivienne, turned 18 on July 12, 2026.

Jolie had previously stated in 2024 that she would leave Los Angeles once her children reached adulthood, a requirement stemming from her custody arrangement following her divorce from Brad Pitt. The Maddox Foundation, which Jolie founded in 2003 in honor of Maddox, focuses on landmine clearance, conservation, education, and healthcare in rural Cambodian communities.

The foundation employs local rangers to protect forests, supports women through sustainable beekeeping, provides dormitories for students, and operates a health center for mothers and children. Jolie was granted honorary Cambodian citizenship in 2005 for her humanitarian work, and the foundation has significantly contributed to community development and environmental preservation.
