Kano Billionaire to Challenge Dangote & BUA with $600M Cement Plant in Kebbi

Muazzam Mairawani, a Kano businessman, is set to challenge Dangote and BUA in the Nigerian cement market with a new $600 million plant in Kebbi state. The MSM Group Companies, founded in 2011, will establish a cement facility with a production capacity of 12 million tonnes, aiming to disrupt the industry with advanced technology.

The project, supported by the Kebbi government, is expected to create direct and indirect employment opportunities in the region. Mairawani's group, known for its operations in various sectors, including oil, gas, and logistics, is preparing for an IPO in the United States to fund its expansion plans.
