Joshua vs Fury Fight Depends on Warm-Up Bout Outcome

The anticipated heavyweight showdown between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury is contingent upon Joshua's success in an upcoming warm-up bout against Kristian Prenga, scheduled for July in Saudi Arabia. Promoter Frank Warren, representing Fury, stated that the Briton is set to earn a career-high payday surpassing the reported $80 million earned against Oleksandr Usyk in 2024.

Fury, who has been out of the ring for 15 months following a victory over Arslanbek Makhmudov on April 11, is focused on maintaining his mental and physical readiness. Warren emphasized the importance of a fight date, suggesting that the earliest possible matchup with Joshua could occur in late October.

He also mentioned that if Fury were to lose the bout against Joshua, he might consider retirement from boxing.
