Anthony Joshua Returns to UK After Tragic Road Accident in Nigeria

British boxer Anthony Joshua has returned to the UK following a devastating road accident in Nigeria that took the lives of two of his closest friends and team members. The accident occurred on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway near Sagamu, Ogun State, involving a Lexus SUV colliding with a stationary truck.

Joshua's personal trainer, Latif Ayodele, and strength coach, Sina Ghami, both aged 36, lost their lives in the crash. The driver of the vehicle, Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, appeared in court in Sagamu and pleaded not guilty to multiple charges.

Joshua, who was in Nigeria to recover from a recent victory and visit family, was involved in a last-minute seat change that potentially saved his life. The Federal Road Safety Corps is investigating the precise cause of the crash.
