British-Nigerian heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua's return to boxing is uncertain following a fatal car crash in Nigeria that took the lives of his trainer, Latif Ayodel, and strength coach, Sina Ghami. Joshua had recently resumed training in Dubai but the tragic incident has cast doubt on his comeback.

Eddie Hearn, Joshua's promoter, visited him in Dubai and provided updates, mentioning that Joshua is focusing on his mental strength and recovery. Conflicting statements about Joshua's retirement were made by his uncle, Adedamola Joshua, and former opponent Oleksandr Usyk.

The driver involved in the crash was identified as Adeniyi Kayode.
