Anthony Joshua's Boxing Future Uncertain After Crash

Anthony Joshua's boxing future is in jeopardy after a fatal car crash in Nigeria, as reported by his promoter Eddie Hearn. The incident occurred in December on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway while Joshua was visiting family.

His strength and conditioning coach, Latif Ayodele, was also involved in the crash. Joshua survived but required hospitalization before returning to the United Kingdom, where he attended the burial ceremony of his close friend.

Hearn expressed that there is no guarantee Joshua will return to the ring, emphasizing that the emotional trauma from the crash has a significant impact on Joshua's future in boxing. Hearn noted that Joshua was preparing for a potential fight against fellow Briton Tyson Fury in March, but plans may be shelved due to the circumstances.

Fury is scheduled to return to action in April against Arslanbek Makhmudov. Meanwhile, Joshua made an unannounced visit to a tattoo studio in Fulham, sharing images of his artwork on Instagram, but has not issued a public statement regarding his boxing future.
