Anti-Trafficking Operation Rescues 17 Victims in Nasarawa State

The Nasarawa State Police Command successfully rescued 17 victims of human trafficking during an operation in Mararaba, intercepting a white Volkswagen Sharon vehicle. The victims, aged between 10 and 19, were allegedly lured with promises of secure farm jobs in different states.

The driver and passengers, including children, were detained for further investigation. The Police Commissioner, Shetima Jauro Moham, has ordered a thorough investigation to dismantle the human trafficking network.

Efforts to reach the victims' parents or guardians have been unsuccessful.
