APC Chairman Yilwatda Backs Tinubu's Northern Agenda

Professor Nentaw Yilwatda, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), expressed support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's economic agenda for Northern Nigeria, emphasizing the importance of avoiding political interference that could hinder progress. In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Strategic Communication, Abimbola Tooki, Yilwatda outlined the administration's long-term structural plans aimed at transforming the region into an economic hub in West and Central Africa.

He highlighted the necessity for major investments in transport, energy, and agriculture to enhance connectivity, reduce transportation costs, and improve trade efficiency. Yilwatda also pointed out the significance of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) in expanding access to higher education, which is crucial for sustainable development.

He called on key stakeholders, including traditional institutions and the private sector, to support the administration's development agenda, warning that political ambitions should not derail progress in Northern Nigeria.
