APC Chieftain Compares Tinubu to Murtala Muhammed

Dr. Georg Agbakahi, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has drawn comparisons between the leadership styles of current President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the late General Murtala Muhammed during an appearance on Nigeria Television Authority's program, Nigeria Today.

Agbakahi described both leaders as courageous and visionary, emphasizing their commitment to transforming and reforming Nigeria's economy. He noted that while the two leaders operated in vastly different political systems, they share similarities in their educational initiatives, with Muhammed establishing seven federal universities and Tinubu launching 62 new higher institutions.

Agbakahi also highlighted their agricultural policies, citing Muhammed's "Feed the Nation" initiative and Tinubu's Green Money Project aimed at agricultural transformation. He acknowledged the foundational role Muhammed played in relocating the capital from Lagos to Abuja, asserting that Tinubu's current focus on infrastructure development reflects Muhammed's vision.

Agbakahi concluded by suggesting that Tinubu's administration should adopt a similar zero-tolerance approach to corruption as Muhammed did during his brief tenure.
