APC Chieftain Criticizes Kwara South Lawmakers Over Insecurity

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara South faulted federal lawmakers from the zone for not adequately supporting the state government in addressing escalating insecurity in the Igbomina land. The chieftain, a retired political science lecturer, made these remarks on a TV program in Abuja.

He criticized the recent Senate resolution on the security crisis in Kwara South and demanded a fundamental restructuring of Nigeria's security architecture. He urged the state government to deploy CCTV surveillance systems, strengthen vigilante groups, and collaborate with the Southwest security network, Amotekun, to combat bandit attacks.
