APC Chieftain Criticizes Tinubu's Aide Over Interview

Ibrahim Osinowo, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has publicly criticized Daniel Bwala, an aide to President Bola Tinubu, over remarks made during a recent Al Jazeera interview. Osinowo stated that Bwala does not speak for the Nigerian government and emphasized that the official spokesperson for the presidency is Bayo Onanuga.

He accused Bwala of attempting to enhance his personal profile through controversial statements, asserting that Bwala's claims, including allegations that President Tinubu created a militia, are false and damaging. Osinowo highlighted the need for reliable communication from the government and reiterated that Bwala's comments do not reflect the official stance.

The backlash against Bwala followed his interview with journalist Mehdi Hasan, where he made contentious statements that Osinowo described as untrue and harmful to the APC's image.
