APC Disowns Fake Senatorial Candidates List Online

The All Progressives Congress (APC) issued a statement on Thursday in Abuja, disowning a purported list of senatorial candidates that has been circulating on social media. Felix Morka, representing the APC, clarified that the list is fake and did not emanate from the party.

The APC urged its members, stakeholders, and the general public to disregard the misleading information, which could undermine the integrity of the party's internal democratic processes. The statement emphasized that the APC is committed to conducting its senatorial primaries across various districts in May 2026, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The primaries are expected to feature several high-profile outcomes, including the affirmation of incumbent senators. Notably, 47 aspirants, including Ben Murray Bruce, a former senator representing Bayelsa East, and Benson Agadaga, have been mentioned in the context of the primaries, with Agadaga reportedly disqualified.
