NDC Disowns Fake Candidates' List Circulating Online

The Nigeria Democrat Congress (NDC) issued a statement on Friday, disavowing a candidates' list that has been circulating on social media, describing it as fake and unauthorized. Ikenna Enekweizu, the party's spokesperson, urged members and the general public to disregard the list, emphasizing that it did not originate from the NDC's headquarters.

The party has already submitted an authentic list of candidates for the upcoming elections in Imo, Abia, and Anambra states to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), in accordance with the Electoral Act. Enekweizu alleged that the circulating document was created by mischief-makers aiming to create confusion and distract the party from its activities.

The NDC has commenced an investigation to identify the source of the false list and reassured its members of its commitment to internal cohesion and providing an alternative political platform for Nigerians.
