APC Fumes Over Adeleke’s 'Beer Parlour' Meeting, Whopping N6bn on Foreign Trips

The Osun State Chapter of the Progressives Congress (APC) has criticized Governor Ademola Adeleke for his prolonged stay abroad, attending a wedding and allegedly spending a whopping N6 billion on foreign trips since 2022. The APC condemned Adeleke's absence, accusing him of neglecting his duties at home.

The party also raised concerns over a photo and video circulating online showing the governor at a beer parlour in the US, with opposition parties accusing him of trivializing governance and wasting public funds. Despite the allegations, Adeleke's loyalists dismissed the claims, with one loyalist urging the APC to refrain from interfering in governance matters.

As the 2026 gubernatorial election approaches, both the ruling PDP and the main opposition APC are gearing up for a competitive race, with confidence in their respective popularity to secure victory.
