APC lacks ideology, internal democracy, coherent vision for Nigeria’s future — Gbenga Hashim

Dr. Gbenga Hashim, a former presidential candidate and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), criticized the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for lacking ideology, internal democracy, and a coherent vision for Nigeria's future.

In an interview, Hashim accused the APC of functioning like an authoritarian movement rather than a democratic platform, where a few individuals give instructions for others to obey like zombies. He highlighted the economic decline and increased insecurity in the country under the APC's leadership.

Hashim contrasted the APC with the PDP, emphasizing the opposition party's consultative culture and internal democratic processes. He urged Nigerians to demand a higher standard of political organization and emphasized the importance of genuine democratic processes in securing better leadership.

Hashim stressed the need for political parties to serve as institutions capable of producing leadership for national development.
