APC Criticizes Peter Obi After ADC Resignation

Felix Morka, the spokesman for the All Progressives Congress (APC), criticized former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi after Obi announced his resignation from the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Morka accused Obi of seeking a free and uncontested presidential ticket, suggesting that Obi's political journey resembles that of a "political drifter." Obi's departure from the ADC was attributed to internal crises and a toxic political environment.

He stated that his decision followed deep reflection on ongoing challenges, including internal disputes that distracted the party from addressing national issues. Obi emphasized that his exit was not due to personal disagreements with party leaders, including former Senate President David Mark and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, whom he continues to respect.

He reiterated his commitment to improving the welfare of Nigerians and building a functional society, asserting that he remains focused on achieving a better Nigeria despite his exit from the ADC.
