APC Faces Internal Turmoil Amid Rising Opposition Strength

Dele Momodu, a chieftain of the ADC, stated in an interview on Wednesday that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is now a "house of commotion" due to the rising strength of opposition parties across Nigeria. He indicated that recent political developments suggest that the opposition is gaining momentum, putting pressure on the federal government and causing anxiety among APC governors.

Momodu criticized the ruling party for its internal crises, particularly in states like Benue and Zamfara, where he noted conflicts among party members. He alleged that many governors are motivated to defect from the APC out of fear for their political futures, citing concerns over economic issues and legal pressures.

Momodu described the current political climate as reflective of growing tensions within the ruling party, as opposition parties reorganize in preparation for the 2027 elections.
