Yero Wins APC Kaduna Senatorial Ticket in Primaries

Mukhtar Ramalan Yero has been declared the winner of the Kaduna senatorial ticket in the APC primaries held in Zaria. He received 6,060 votes, defeating his opponents Muhammad Muazu Mukadda, who scored 1,044 votes, and Yusuf Bala Ikara, who secured 372 votes.

The announcement was made by Hassan Saleh, who returned to the office of the APC Kaduna North senatorial district primary election. Yero previously served as the governor of Kaduna State from December 15, 2012, to May 29, 2015, after succeeding Patrick Yakowa, who tragically died in a helicopter crash on December 15, 2012.

Yero expressed gratitude for the peaceful conduct of the elections and extended a hand of fellowship to his fellow contestants, emphasizing the need to work together for the overall victory of the party in the forthcoming general elections.
