APC Women Urge Oluremi Tinubu for Greater Female Inclusion

Women members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) called on First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu to advocate for greater political inclusion of women in elective and appointive positions across Nigeria. This appeal was made during a medical and food relief outreach organized by the Faleke Women Movement for Renewed Hope on Thursday at the APC secretariat in Ojodu, Lagos State.

The outreach benefited over 1,000 residents, including vulnerable women and less privileged families. National Women Leader of the Faleke Women Movement for Renewed Hope, Hajia Asmau Ohikere, stated that increased representation of women in governance would ensure that issues affecting women and families receive more attention in policymaking.

She urged the First Lady to leverage her influence to create more opportunities for women in politics. Zainab Ogundana, President of the movement, acknowledged President Bola Tinubu's past support for women in governance but expressed the desire for even greater participation of women in leadership roles.
