APM Terminals Kano Records 51% Increase In Volumes In H1

APM Terminals Kano saw a 51% increase in Bill of Lading volumes in the first half of 2025, compared to the same period in 2024. Terminal manager Steen Knudsen attributed this growth to the seamless movement of volumes from the hinterland to the Apapa port.

The collaborative efforts between the Kano and Apapa teams were highlighted as key to achieving this increase. The terminal also handled the highest number of units since January 2024, with 139 container units passing through the gate in May 2025 alone.

This performance marked a significant milestone and reflected the team's dedication to operational excellence. The terminal recently underwent a major upgrade, including the installation of a solar power system to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.

These initiatives are part of the terminal's commitment to reducing CO2 emissions and improving overall performance.
