Arewa Think Tank Warns El-Rufai on National Security Issues

The Arewa Think Tank, convened by Muhammad Alhaji Yakubu, issued a stern warning to former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai regarding his ongoing feud with National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu. The group emphasized that El-Rufai should not mistake President Bola Tinubu's tolerance and patience for weakness.

They condemned El-Rufai's attempts to divert attention from allegations of misconduct during his governorship, asserting that the people of Kaduna demand accountability. The statement highlighted that El-Rufai's actions, including the alleged unlawful interception of Ribadu's phone communications, compromise national security and threaten Nigeria's stability.

The Arewa Think Tank supported the federal government's decision to file cybercrime charges against El-Rufai and urged him to cease politicizing national security issues. They criticized El-Rufai's blame-shifting tactics and called for a thorough investigation and prosecution of his alleged corrupt practices, emphasizing that no one is above the law.
