Chinelo Anohu Named Woman of Impact in Africa 2026

Chinelo Anohu has been recognized as the Woman of Impact in Africa 2026 by ARISE Media Group, an honor announced in celebration of International Women's Month. This recognition highlights her significant contributions to public sector reform and private sector development, which are crucial for pan-African economic growth.

Omoba Kenneth Aigbegbel, the Executive Secretary of CWAi, described the honor as a fitting tribute to Anohu's career, which has been defined by integrity and transformational leadership. Anohu previously served as the Director General of the National Pension Commission (PENCOM), where she spearheaded reforms aimed at strengthening transparency and enhancing regulatory oversight in Nigeria's pension administration system.

She has also held roles at the Bureau of Public Enterprises and the African Development Bank (AFDB), where she played a key leadership role in facilitating investment transactions across Africa. Currently, she leads Mutandi Africa Group, focusing on investment facilitation and policy advisory strategies across African markets.

The award ceremony is scheduled for March 8, 2026, in Lagos, aligning with International Women's Day.
