Arodiogbu Confirms Uzodimma as APC Candidate for Imo West

Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, the National Vice Chairman (South East) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), clarified that Senator Hope Uzodimma is the party's candidate for the Imo West Senatorial District. In a statement issued on Thursday, Arodiogbu addressed misinformation circulating on social media regarding the party's candidate.
He noted that the matter is currently before the courts and is sub judice. Arodiogbu urged party members and the public to disregard claims from a group called the "Progressive Lawyers Forum," which he stated is not recognized by the APC's leadership.
He emphasized that the primary election was conducted according to the APC Constitution and applicable laws, with Uzodimma declared the winner by the Congress Committee chaired by Rear Admiral Williams Kayode (rtd). The results were upheld by the Appeal Committee and submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Arodiogbu also alleged that Okorocha did not participate in the primary election.
