Arsenal Nears New Contract for Manager Mikel Arteta

Arsenal Football Club is in the process of finalizing a new contract for manager Mikel Arteta, with recent discussions indicating progress. Sources close to the negotiations express confidence that Arteta will renew his contract, which currently has nine months remaining.

Arteta stated, “Everybody feels comfortable that the timing of the contract is not going to be an issue because my will certainly is to be here and I’m very happy here.” Arsenal's chief executive, Richard Garlick, mentioned it is merely a “matter of time” before the new long-term deal is confirmed. Arteta is expected to become one of the highest-paid managers in world football, significantly improving on his current deal of £10m per season, plus an additional £5m upon Champions League qualification.

Since his appointment in December 2019, Arteta has revitalized the club, leading them to their first Premier League title in 22 years and positioning them as strong contenders for both the domestic crown and their first Champions League title.
