Arsenal Thrashes Wigan 4-0 in FA Cup Match

Arsenal achieved a commanding 4-0 victory over Wigan at the Emirates Stadium, marking their progression to the FA Cup fifth round for the first time in six years. The Premier League leaders dominated the match against the struggling Wigan side.

Eberechi Eze opened the scoring in the 11th minute, playing a split pass to Noni Madueke, who confidently finished past goalkeeper Sam Tickl. Arsenal doubled their advantage seven minutes later when Eze again provided an excellent assist, this time for Gabriel Martinelli.

The lead was further extended when Jack Hunt scored an unfortunate own goal while attempting to clear a ball, following good work from Bukayo Saka. Saka played in an unfamiliar central midfield role alongside Dai Christian Norgaard due to an injury to Riccardo Calafiori.

Gabriel Jesus capped off the scoring with a clever chip over the onrushing Tickl, making Arsenal the first Premier League team to score four goals within the first half-hour of an FA Cup match.
